WEEK 6 - PERFORMANCE DAY

It was the big day for us and the students as it is the performance day. Everyone was very tense as they have test going on that week and I assumed that they had forgotten most of the actions. I was quite worried as the performance is going to start soon. Luckily, there was a small rehearsal before the performance and the students did what they had remembered from the previous week. The students were unable to perform the actions well and we were quite concerned about it. We immediately asked the students to gather at their classroom after they had finish their rehearsal. We quickly briefed them on what are the important actions and key points and practiced one last time with them before the performance.

Eventually, they managed to pull through and perform the choral speaking successfully. Although some of the students did not memories the actions well but overall it was a great performance. My group members and I were very proud of the students. They are able to speak more fluently with the English language after so many weeks of practicing. Besides, it is definitely a memorable experience for both the students and us.

From this experience, I learnt that even though the students are not fluent in speaking English, but after practicing for a few weeks, they are able to speak better and understand better too. The hard work and effort they put in makes the performance ended successfully. Besides, this is a big challenge for me as this is my first time teaching someone. However, the wonderful performance they had performed made me felt that I had fulfill my job to teach them. Although the process was tough, but I felt grateful and pleased to see that the students are having fun and enjoying themselves while performing. Also, I believe that even though life is hard, it will still be fruitful if we put in much effort and hard work in it. I am glad that I had this module for this semester and it will be a memory that I will never forget.
