WEEK 3.jpg

We started off the class by choosing a conductor among the students. A girl and a boy were suggested by the students as nominees, hence we suggested the students to vote for the student they want as the main conductor. A girl named Aisha was chosen as the conductor, but the boy was frustrated and unhappy when he was not chosen.

I am glad that he was brave enough to take up the opportunity as a leader, but he can still contribute to the class by paying more attention in the practices so that he can help out the conductor when she needs any help. He can also give recommendations or ideas to us on what to add and what can we improve throughout the practice. This can help to improve his courage and also can train his tolerance. It is a good learning for him as he can learn that not everything he wants can be granted and he can learn to control his feelings by accepting the reason and do better next time. Then, we continue our practices and added some actions to make the choral speaking more interesting. I am impressed by the students as they are able to provide wonderful suggestions on how the actions can be acted.

I learnt that communication is a very important factor as we are able to understand and discuss together on how to improve the actions with the students. This will help the students to have a sense of achievement as the actions are mainly their ideas. Communication is important because the students will feel happy and satisfy when they are acting the actions because it is the actions that we both agreed on and it is the actions that they are comfortable to show it during the choral speaking.
