WEEK 2 - FOOTBALL MATCH BEGINS !!!

For our second session, we started off with another short ice breaking. We asked them to pass up their homework which is to let us know the sentences for their choral speaking. However, they did not bring their materials and told us that they did not prepare it at all except for 2 girls that did prepare. We were a little frustrated because of their actions and was still playing around while we asked for the sentences. Without wasting time, we gave them a few minutes to prepare for their lines and guided them together. Fortunately, we were able to create 2 pages of sentences for the choral speaking. Mr Chandra suggested us to underline some difficult words for them as homework. By doing this, I hope that the students can learn new vocabulary and increase their English proficiency. After that, the students transfer the sentences onto the Mahjong paper that Mr Chandra provided. We also practice reading the sentences with them so that they are able to familiarize it.
I was a little disappointed at first because they did not prepare the sentences but to think of it I think is because we did not tell them properly on how they should write and create the sentences. Therefore, they are unable to complete their homework. I think it is also a learning experience for us because it can help to train our problem-solving skills as in thinking solutions to overcome the problem when the students did not prepare any sentences for the practice. Overall, I was satisfied with the sentences that they created and was glad that they read through a few times seriously.
