WEEK 4 - HALF TIME 

When we reach the school, we were told that almost half of the class went to buy clothing for Hari Raya. It was a few weeks before Hari Raya therefore, the teachers brought the students to buy their Hari Raya clothes.

 

The number of students were very little, so we played a small game with the remaining students. We were much closer with each other while playing the game and the bond between us became stronger. We were more open to each other and the students are not shy to ask us questions anymore. I felt delighted as we became closer and the gap between us became smaller. I believe that when we are open to others, others will be the same too. I reflect on my own actions which I think that I might not been socializing well with them during practices and through this small game, we are able to connect better and express better to each other.

 

 

This is a good experience to me as I am not a person who is very sociable, but the enthusiasm of the students makes me feel comfortable hence, I am able to play around with them. Later, many students came back from their shopping and we continued our practice by asking them to stand in their formation. We also had a short rehearsal so that the students are able to know how is the flow is going to be on the performance day. We guided them step by step and the conductor was very good in leading her classmates. The teamwork among them was wonderful because the students will give extra suggestions to improve the choral speaking and will cooperate well with the conductor. I was quite pleased that the students are actively involved in the planning stage and their sense of participation level was really high.
